The European Conference on Cognitive Ergonomics (ECCE) is the flagship annual event of the European Association of Cognitive Ergonomics (EACE). It offers a leading forum where researchers, practitioners, and scholars come together to exchange perspectives, share advancements, and foster discussion on cognitive ergonomics and human–technology interaction. In 2026, ECCE will take place in Siena and this edition’s theme "Toward a New Sustainable and Peaceful Alliance Between Humanity and Technology" invites us to reflect on how cognitive ergonomics and design-oriented disciplines can support more responsible, inclusive, and harmonious relationships between people and technological systems, benefiting individuals, communities, and society at large.
