The University Linguistic Center (Centro Linguistico d'Ateneo – CLA) takes care of the organization of educational services regarding the learning of foreign languages using highly qualified Collaborators and Linguistic Experts (CEL).
In addition to the required qualifying examinations for the English language, students may also take QUALIFYING EXAMINATIONS in FRENCH – PORTUGES – RUSSIAN – SPANISH – GERMAN. The qualifying examinations of the Linguistic Center (Centro Linguistico d'Ateneo – CLA) are open to all students of the University of Siena who wish to study a language, even without registering final exams. A certificate of attendance will be granted.
QUALIFYING EXAMINATIONS are the recognition of levels of linguistic skills according to the European reference framework, with levels from A2 (beginner) to C2 (advanced).
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
- It is NOT possible to substitute foreign language exams (with marks on a 30-point scale and a teacher module) with a language qualifying exam.
- Qualifying exams can only provide CFU credits if they are part of the study plan of the course the student is enroled in.
- Students who wish to include the study of a language as an Optional activity must indicate a language EXAM, with a mark.
